Fisher Junior-Senior High School, Fisher

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fisher Junior-Senior High School C.U.S.D. #1, located in Fisher, Illinois, a small farming community near Champaign, IL was built in 1963 and has been operating since 1964. Fisher Junior-Senior High School(FHS). It is in a small town of approximately 1,700 people.

FHS has approximately 350 students with an average graduating class size of 50. FHS is a generally well0-reputed high school according to the standards they have maintained with above average testing scores on the IGAP, ISAT and the ACT. The officials of the school associate this with the small class size that enables them to work more one-on-one with each student. Having, however, both the junior high, 7th - 8th graders, and high school, 9th - 12th graders, in the same building is something commonly done by smaller rural schools simply to prevent excess facility usage to reduce costs and provide a more efficient education.
