Fishtown is the capital city of River Gee County, Liberia.
River Gee County is one of the five Southeastern counties. It was created by the act of legislation in 2000. Its citizens are Grebo. In 1933, during the administration of president Edwin J. Barclay, the interior was graphed and founded the provinces, bringing about Eastern Province, Central province and Western province. Before, today River Gee and today Grand Gedeh were separate districts, while River Gee came out of Webbo District that was administered by Maryland County and Grand Gedeh came out of Tchien District administered by Sinoe County and the both districts made up the Eastern Province, which in 1964 became Grand Gedeh.
