[edit] COTW Project
You voted for Invasion, this week's Collaboration of the week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. -- King of Hearts | (talk) 18:31, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] medcabal
Hi there -- I saw that you were listed as a medcabal member; as a fellow medcabalist, I thought I'd drop you a line to say that there are a number of new cases that have been added recently and there seem to be too many for the "regulars" to handle. I suggest giving it a shot! (If you forgot you signed up for the cabal, and want off, sorry to bother you!) Yours, Sdedeo (tips) 19:25, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My talk page
Do not take it upon yourself to re-add other people's comments to my talk page. Reposting the comments of someone who makes personal attacks against me on his/her user page and accuses me of being a "Satanist Apologist" on the talk page of the article he/she got all bent out of shape on really is not a good idea. DreamGuy 01:00, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- I only reposted the one relevant comment, which did not come across to me as vandalism. If I was mistaken, then I appologize, however, the comment seemed relevant to me. I assumed that you had reverted to an earlier version to remove vandal comments, and that one got caught in the middle. However, i'd appreciate it if you did not order me around. You have absolutely no authority over me, and need I remind you that you do not own your user page (under the terms of the GFDL). Personally, I think you need a refresher in[[{WP:FAITH|Assuming Good Faith]]. Firestorm 01:08, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

- Apology accepted. But, by the way, I *DO* own my own talk page, per the policies here on Wikipedia. I can and will remove anything I find inappropriate. I can and am ordering you to not restore things I deleted or to modify anyone else's comments. Any GFDL issues are handled by the history page. DreamGuy 01:19, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Invasion

[edit] Mediation
The Mediation Cabal needs your support. You are listed as an active mediator ready to accept assignments. If you don't want to take the case on, just say so at the bottom of the request and delegate it to someone else. --Fasten 10:32, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Make sure to vote for the Star Wars Collaboration of the week for next week at Wikipedia:Star Wars Collaboration of the week. Jedi6 03:46, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey, what's up with the collaboration for the week? Why's it not updated? It says it must not have been updated since Sep. Are you still working on this project, or is the collaboration dead? Please answer either here, on my talk, or on the project page discussion ! :) Thanks! Cactus Guru 05:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ContiE has impersonated me on other wikis
Hi, I'm in a potentially awkward position with an Administrator. I have read the Wiki pages on dispute resolution but I'm still not sure how to proceed.
The Admin ContiE has a personal grudge against me for reasons I do not fully understand. He has been this way since I began frequenting wikipedia.
I have done work improving the furvert article. He has basically gone on a crusade against any edit I make. He controls every furry category article and several others ruthlessly. He is an iron fist and bans anyone he edit wars with. I had uploaded pictures and he deleted them with no talking. He seems to believe I am every person he has had an edit war against. He is always using personal attacks, calling me troll without reason. I uploaded them again and he voted them for deleted, but to his surprise the person who runs the images, thank you Nv8200p, found they were acceptable once I tagged them properly. Just recently he removed both the images without himself discussing it in the talk page (unless he was the same person who discussed only one) with the edit here [1] Then ContiE assumed bad faith, added his constant insult of troll in the talk page. It appears on a completed different wiki, a comedy one in all things, somebody else stole my username and I believe this was Conti himself and uploaded them. ContiE showed it as his reason. While vandalism like his, I would revert and mention it, he would ban me permanently if I undid his edit. That is why I am asking admins for help. He holds a couple of accounts on wikipedia and I think they are administrators so I have to be careful who I tell about this. Arights 07:23, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Research Survey Request
Hello, I am a member of a research group at Palo Alto Research Center (formerly known as Xerox PARC) studying how conflicts occur and resolve on Wikipedia. Due to your experience in conflict resolution on Wikipedia (e.g., as a member of the Mediation Cabal) we’re extremely interested in your insights on this topic. We have a survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=400792384029 which we are inviting a few selected Wikipedians to participate in, and we would be extremely appreciative if you would take the time to complete it. As a token of our gratitude, we would like to present you with a PARC research star upon completion. Thank you for your time.

Hello, Firestorm. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Greedo.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Firestorm. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. [edit] Psionics
i appreciate your position in returning a great deal of deleted material in this article. however, most of what you returned has been challenged with {{fact}} tags. anything which has been legitimately so challenged, and which has not subsequently been cited, is subject to immediate, unilateral deletion. if you want it to stay, please cite sources for the statements there within wikipedia's Verifiability Criteria. thank you. [edit] Speedy deletion
Hello Firestorm
I just saw you tagged National Identity and Language for speedy deletion, while this article may be unencyclopedic being unencyclopedic is not a criteria for speedy deletion. Next time I advise you to use {{subst:prod|reason}} or go through the WP:AFD process when deleting those kind of article.
I'm taking care of that particular article right now and made a clear explanation on the talk page of both the article and the author talk page to explain what are your concern. And tagged for proposed deletion this article. if the author can't completly rewrite this article in a matter of 5 days. - Esurnir 05:39, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect of Grand Admiral Martio Batch
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Grand Admiral Martio Batch, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Grand Admiral Martio Batch is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Grand Admiral Martio Batch, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] The Sith article
This article is rife with uncited information, in-universe cruft. I posted a request that cignificant citation work should occur or information would be removed. None has occurred, and I am about to start removing those parts which aren't cited from the article and most of it will end up on the discussion page until it can be cited. I invite you to assist in this process, as it appears you have an interest in the subject matter.- Arcayne (cast a spell) 19:58, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rhino novel AfD
Thank you so much - that was rather embarassing. Is it permissable to remove the back and forth about the tech problem so as to not confuse the AfD? I wouldn't want to be accused of removing comments from an AfD - somebody could use rollback on me. ;) Pairadox (talk) 09:18, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all, it seems as if at some point you called the article {{subst:*pagename*}} instead of *pagename*. I don't think anybody would have a problem removing it, but you never know, so it might be best to make a note that you had a technical problem and those comments are related to that. Personally, I don't have a problem with it, but you never know how others would react. Firestorm (talk) 09:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
