Talk:First Lady of Iceland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wouldn't it be more correct to call the persons in question spouses of presidents, rather than first ladies? First lady always seems to imply a position similar to that of the US, where the phrase originated, but the Icelandic position is completely different. We don't really have anybody in a first lady role, only individuals who happen to be spouses of the president. --Sterio 23:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
