[edit] Irony
I just want to point out the irony of this page. It says here, and as of this writing, the "Did You Know" section, that this is one of the most decorative in St. Petersburg. Yet it lacks a single picture on the page. Ironic, I would say. Kaiser matias 08:39, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, life is full of irony: new copyright ristrictions recently led to the deletion of thousands of uploaded images from the former Soviet Union. I'll guess that there will be a new picture of the bridge soon. --Camptown 11:46, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
I understand why they wouldn't have one. There are few Russian users on the English Wikipedia, or users who have seen the bridge and photographed it. Just seeing the Did You Know article, I went here expecting to see a picture. But I'm sure it will happen soon. Kaiser matias 20:27, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, there are quite a few Russians writing for the English Wikipedia. Their contribution to the project is rather remarkable. And since you asked for a picture, one has already been uploaded. --Odengatan 21:15, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- I knew it would only be a matter of time. And I had no idea of how many Russians are here. I was simply assuming, uncorrectly, that they would not be around, citing less knowledge of English. That proves me wrong. Good picture, I might add. Kaiser matias 22:00, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
