I have my doubts that the killers are meant to be Crusaders. It is, after all, a bible illustration, likely illustrating a biblical story. To back up either claim, we'd need the exact source (manuscript) of the image.

I sent an inquiry to flholocaustmuseum.org (the source of the image, and the claim that it represents "Execution of Jews during the Crusades", but they didn't deign to reply, and I have serious doubts about the caption. More likely, this image depicts the slaughter of martyrs by pagan kings. The only thing that connects it to the crusades is that it was drawn during the seventh crusade. 09:57, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

It says that they are identifiable by their Judenhuts but that doesn't neccesarily mean it was medival Jews, it appears that one of them has a halo so I think it might be a Biblical account

Exactly - the two swordsmen are clearly kings, and there were none on the first Crusade. It is far more likely to be illustrating an Old Testament passage. The Judenhuts do not look like the normal ones at all. Johnbod 19:26, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
