  1. Image is taken during a turbulent phase of history of Kurdish people in summer of 1979 when Ayatollah Khomeini had declared holy war against them. The executed victims shown in the picture were political activist Kurds from the Kurdish city of Sanandaj in western Iran. The event took place at the height of tension and civil war between Kurdish parties and Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979.
  2. It is believed that an article regarding Kurdish people, their relationship with the Iranian state and their struggle for human rights in Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution constitutes a non-profit educational context.
