First Warning (2005) is the first novel of the Acorna's Children Series, a companion series to Acorna the Unicorn Girl. First Warning was written by Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough, and chronicles the adventures of Khorri. She is the daughter of Acorna and Aari, main characters in the original books. It is a coming of age story in a sense, and as Khorri ages she learns to use telepathic powers which all her people, the Linyaari are able to use as they mature.
