First Love is a 66-episode television drama produced and broadcast by KBS2 between September 1996 and January 1997 on Thursday nights. It stars popular actor Bae Yong Joon.

Chan Woo (Bae Yong Jun) and Chan Hyuk (Choi Soo Jung) stars as brothers falling for the same woman. Chan Woo wanders about for a while when he is in high school, after he finds out that Hyokyung, who he had a crush on in elementary school, is dear to his older brother. Chan Hyuk falls in a vegetative state following a traffic accident in which he was chased by Hyokyung’s family for their forbidden love, Chanwoo decides to give up his own aspirations to pass the bar examination and begins learning about the casino business. Chan Woo, working for the Daemyung Group, . Then Chan Woo works up his plan of revenge against Hyokyung’s father and her uncle. Eventually, he returns back to studying law, giving up his revenge plan and his position in the company as his older brother pleads forgiveness for his first love and also because he remembered his promise to Suk Hee (Choi Ji Woo). Chan Woo's close buddy in university, Hyong Ki, also harbored feelings for Suk Hee because of her kind nature and caring attittude towards friends. Hyong Ki somehow acted as a bridge in the relationship between Suk Hee and Chan Woo.
