[edit] Synopsis

The story begins with Rouhi, a young maid from the poor neighborhoods of south Tehran who gets assigned to clean an apartment in northern Tehran. Upon arriving at the middle-class apartment, she finds herself in a heated domestic dispute between Mojdeh and Morteza. Mojdeh suspects that her husband Morteza is cheating on her with the next door neighbor Simin. The film is set against the backdrop of the ancient Iranian tradition of Chaharshanbe Suri, which in recent years has taken the form of a public protest.
