Fireman Ed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fireman Ed (real name Ed Anzalone) is a superfan of the New York Jets,[1][2] and one of the most well known NFL fans.[3][4][5] He is the originator of the famous chant, "J-E-T-S, Jets!, Jets!, Jets!,"[6] though some dispute this, claiming that he merely leads the chant and that it originated elsewhere.[7]
An actual New York City firefighter, Fireman Ed was injured on the job in 2007, and missed the 2007 season.[8]
Ed wears Bruce Harper's jersey to most games.
