Fire in the Punchbowl book cover

Fire In The Punchbowl is a 1965 children's book by the English writer Monica Edwards, set at Punch Bowl Farm in Surrey.

It may be seen as the writer's personal statement of fear about changing farming methods and, perhaps, the "white heat of technology" of the Harold Wilson government. It is radically different in its atmosphere from most of her earlier works.
