The Fire Services National Benevolent Fund or FSNBF is the UK's main charity, supporting members of the fire service community through physical, psychological and emotional trauma.^[1]

The charity has been in existence since 1943, and is one of the fastest growing in the UK. The charity supports 230,000 serving and retired firefighters through pioneering physical and psychological therapy at its two therapy centres in Devon and Cumbria, and its convalesence centre in West Sussex

The fund's Chief Executive is Roy Lawrenson, a former Charity Principle of the Year and has won many awards since Lawrenson's appointment in 2003. These achievements include becoming the most recognised charity in the Sunday Times Best Employer survey, Fundraising Campaign of the Year at the Third Sector Awards 2006 and Finance Director of the Year at the UK Charity Awards 2005.
