Fiona Maazel

Fiona Maazel (born 1975, Cleveland) is a writer and freelance editor. Her work has appeared in publications including The Village Voice, The Boston Book Review and on salon.com. In 2005, she won the Lannan Literary Fellowship.

Maazel's first novel, Last Last Chance, was published in March 2008 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. It tells the story of Lucy Clarke, a drug addict with a complicated family and a difficult life. The New York Times said of the book: "'Last Last Chance' isn't your average novel, thanks in no small part to Maazel's funny, lacerating prose."

She lives in Brooklyn and is working on her next novel.
