[edit] Overview
Fiona picked up Michael Westen in Miami, Florida, and has since helped him numerous times in his various jobs. Fiona and Michael had a past relationship, which ended when Michael left without saying goodbye when his cover was blown. Since she has met up with Michael again, Fiona has continued to pressure Michael into a relationship. Fiona also keeps up with Michael's mother, Madeline Westen; however, it's unclear if she does this because she enjoys Madeline's company, or if she simply uses it to pressure Michael.
Fiona has a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later. She is a brilliant strategist, but her strategies usually involve going in with guns blazing. Michael has had to frequently hold Fiona back.
Series creator Matt Nix has said about their relationship: [1]
“ | The thing about the relationship with Fiona is…They are two people who really don't have anybody else that they can be with. Anybody else is going to be afraid of what Michael does, and it sort of turns her on, and anybody else for Michael is going to be uninteresting. He is attracted to her, but part of what we explore over the first season is that they really are attracted with each other, and yet there is a reason they broke up. She is an incredibly chaotic person who just thrives on disorder…Violence is foreplay for her. | ” |
[edit] Fiona's Blog
USA Network keeps up a character blog for Fiona [2], so far the majority of her entries have been about her helping other people take vengeance, even if they don't ask for her help.
So far Fiona has:
- Watched a young girl go on a date with a much older man. After seeing the man flirt with another, even younger girl, Fiona knocked the man out with a baseball.
- After a car bumped into a parked truck and drove off without leaving insurance information, Fiona followed the car. She filled the wind shield wiping fluid with pink nail polish, scratched the hood, and left the car license plate number with the parked truck.
- When Fiona saw a thief at the beach, she tricked him into trying to steal her keys. When the man got close enough, Fiona kicked him in the crotch, then called a lifeguard over to recover everyone's property.
- After a greasy man at a baseball game stole a foul ball from an 8-year old boy, Fiona seduced the man into letting her hold the ball, which she promptly used to knock the man out. She returned the ball to the little boy.
- During her morning jog, Fiona spotted a man walking with his dog. She introduced herself to the man and pet the dog, Spunky. After they left she noticed that the man let the dog do his business in front of her apartment building. After following him home and watching him leave for work, Fiona stole Spunky and left a ransom note telling him to clean up the dog park tomorrow of all the other dogs feces and he'll get Spunky back. He did the dirty deed and Fiona reluctantly returned Spunky to his owner.
