From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Image:271808.jpg article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I irrevocably release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, for use on Wikipedia and elsewhere."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Peter O. (Talk) 22:13, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just a Heads Up...
I've been looking at a lot of the pictures you have been posting. Almost all of your all of your pictures have been licensed under WP's "self made" license. However, after googling the file name of the picture, I was able to determine that several of them were stolen from other websites. Not only is this unlawful, but it's payable on major disciplinary actions by WP Admins. I strongly advise you to remove all copyright infringement images from wikipedia before "someone" finds out. --ShadowJester07 21:13, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- Absolutely. Please thoroughly read each of the following pages before uploading any additional images.
- It is especially important that you do not misrepresent yourself as the creator or copyright holder of images that you have found on the internet. Below is a partial list of images that currently lack valid information about their source and copyright status.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:AAGS155~Olindo-Mare-05-06-Action-Posters.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:AAGS155~Olindo-Mare-05-06-Action-Posters.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 20:24, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop uploading non-free images
Basically every image you have uploaded is a news media photo, yet you claim to have taken them yourself. This is not acceptable. Wikipedia is a free content encyclopedia and cannot be a warehouse for copyright infringements. News media photos are NEVER acceptable under WP:FAIR#Counterexamples #5. In order to upload an image, one of four things must be true: (1) you must have created from scratch yourself, not based on someone else's work, -or- (2) someone else who created it from scratch themselves must be willing to release it under a free license, which permits anyone to use it for any reason, -or- (3) the image was created before 1923 or in some other fashion is considered public domain under the law, -or- (4) the image qualifies for fair use under WP:FAIR. Any other images will be deleted on site and just cause work for someone else. Thank you. BigDT 04:53, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop uploading copy-vio images. Any further attempt to upload media photos under fictious copyright claims will be considered vandalism. See Wikipedia:Vandalism, especially Copyrighted material vandalism. Thanks for your time. --ShadowJester07 00:59, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked
The Courtney Brown photo that you uploaded today is not your own photography, but lifted from [1]. You have been warned many times about uploading copyrighted material incompatible with Wikipedia, and about falsifying the source of your uploads, so I have blocked you from editing for 48 hours. You are welcome to return when your block is over, but this behavior will no longer be tolerated. I suggest that you take this opportunity to thoroughly read each of the following pages:
When your block has expired, you can ask any questions that you may have a Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. ×Meegs 03:06, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- I got your email, though your block has now expired. Remember, do not upload the work of others and claim it as your own, and please read each of those pages I linked before uploading anything whatsoever. ×Meegs 12:18, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Uh, apparently you uploaded two more media photos under a false {{PD-self}} claim. If you do not understand them, please ask for help. Also, please do not re-add previously removed unlicensed image to article, as you did to Jason Taylor. Please stop and take time to read the links Meegs left you. [edit] Blocked again
I have blocked you again, this time for 4 days. You must not upload other people's photos, such as the Associated Press's Image:NY16012212051-big.jpg, and claim them as your own. Please read the links that I provided above, ask questions, or stop uploading images altogether. Press photos and photos of uncertain origin and copyright status (like the one's you are finding on photobucket) are not suitable for use merely to identify Nick Saban under our fair use policy. If we are to have an image of Saban, we will either need a Wikipedian to take a picture of him, find a PD source (such as the U.S. federal government), or convince an outside photographer to release their work under a free license such as the GFDL. If you upload any more images outside of policy, you are going to be blocked for a much longer period. ×Meegs 09:51, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Your block expired early this morning, shortly after you sent the email to me. Please do as you said you would, and do not upload any more pictures. ×Meegs 22:05, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
