Your K9YA telegraph article has problems with non-notability. --- LuckyLouie 19:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Please do not keep adding the spam link to Vintage amateur radio. --- LuckyLouie 22:33, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] K9YA Telegraph
The link to the K9YA Telegraph e-Zine should not be considered SPAM for the vintage amateur radio section. The K9YA Telegraph has published MANY articles relating to boatanchors, vintage homebrew gear, CW, ham radio nostalgia, vintage military conversions/restorations and ham radio history. The K9YA Telegraph is a unique publication in that it is free, staffed by volunteers and has thousands of subscribers in over 100 countries. I believe marking a link to the K9YA Telegraph as SPAM for vintage amateur radio can only be due to unfamiliarity with the publication. User:Finely Breese
- Hi Finley. You are a new Wikipedia user and may not be familiar with WP:NOT. Wkipedia is an online encyclopdia. It is not the right place to create and link an article about your e-zine in order to gain exposure for it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. 73. --- LuckyLouie 01:30, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
LuckyLouie. Even if the K9YA Telegraph link is relevent to the vintage amateur radio topic, because I created the K9YA Telegraph article, I can't create links to it? The K9YA Telegraph charges no subscription fee and doesn't accept advertising. Adding subscribers creates additional out-of-pocket costs and work for the volunteers. People interested in vintage amateur radio could benefit from being made aware of the K9YA Telegraph. Thank you. User:Finely Breese

- When I first came to Wikipedia I too was under the impression that it was a wide-open resource that anyone could use to promote their worthy enterprise. However, that is not the case; there are a number of rules and criteria established in order to prevent encyclopedia articles from degenerating into a "link farm". In the case on Vintage amateur radio, we have to limit links to those few that are exclusively about vintage ham radio. --- LuckyLouie 02:00, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
