Finlay James Charles, born 18th July 1990 he is an iconic member of the Burgate Sixth Form. The youngest ever golf player to win the men’s club championships at hamptwoth by 10 shoots over a field of 150 people, shooting rounds of 74 and 70. He won a men’s tournament at paultons golf club, he won with a score of 65(-6) shooting one less than the existing course record.
He holds the amateur course record at his home club Hamptworth. A round of 70 (-2), the existing professional course record is 67 (-5). He is the holder of the Hamptworth masters competition for the 2nd time in 4 years, the 1st of these two wins he won by 8 shots setting a new low score record.
His longest drive ever captured was an incredible 430 yards at Edzell golf club.
