[edit] Source of this text
Most of this text has apparently been taken verbatim from the Catholic Encylopedia [1] which is also mentioned in the links but not referenced as a source. The Catholic Encylopedia cites another source:
- Irish Life in Book of Lismore; HEALY, Ireland's Ancient Schools and Scholars (Dublin, 1890).
The original author is apparently John Healy, 1841-1918, who was archbishop of Tuam (1903-1918). (Perhaps somebody who has access to a copy of this book could check this out; it appears to have been reprinted as ISBN 1410215555).
However, even if we are lucky enough that this is no longer a copyright violation because the author died more than 75 years ago, we should
- verify, whether I guessed correctly, and
- name the original author.

- I just found a general guideline regarding texts taken from the Catholic Encylopedia. Following those instructions, I added a {{Catholic}} template to the text. --AFBorchert 07:47, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
