[edit] "serious fingerboarding"
Minor stylistic point but does anyone else object to the use of the phrase "serious fingerboarding".
Doesn't that phrase contradict itself? Like 'happy Monday'?
- Oh, please. That little "contradiction" thing is not funny. Check out the Blackriver Ramps link at the bottom and you'll see some serious fingerboarders. Supercraft99 00:52, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed, if nothing else there are fingerboarders who own the companies or work for them and it's hard to believe there aren't professional skateboarder who utilize this equipment in some fashion. Benjiboi 20:02, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] fingerboard professionals
My gut feeling is that this hooey. What company is going to pay someone to do this as a full time job? Do they have comps or how is it they earn their money? Because amateurs will upload their fingerboarding videos to YouTube for free. Google does not know these names, except for 2 which are in dutch or some similar language. I'm not trying to be trollish, I really doubt the validity of the claims. JohnCub 23:42, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Your gut feeling is totally wrong. Go to blackriverramps.com or berlinwood.de. www.techdeck.com on the forum has all these professinal fingerboarders that win thousands in contests. Research before you post. tom-da-bomb 8 June 2007
- Article didn't, at the time, portray that this was a developed hobby, there does seem to be a strong possibility for professionals to exist. Benjiboi 04:09, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bad Article
- This is a very poorly written article. Please work on it some more. -129.186.212.213 18:46, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cleaning up this article
This article needs more valid research, and to be written better. I fixed a few issues. I've added [citation needed] to a few sections that need citations. --Dan LeveilleTALK 19:44, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I was in the middle of added citations and fact checking when you deleted some of the items I was working on. Please remove the Original Research tag unless you can specify which section or statement is OR. Benjiboi 19:58, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't delete anything. There were a few statements that I removed because they were un-needed. I'm not sure which you're referring to. Thanks for adding the references though. I removed the OR. --Dan LeveilleTALK 20:50, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- Lol. I was trying to add to the Popularity section which was removed and i need the techdecks link but i can find that later. I'm still digging through some articles and then will move onto books. Benjiboi 20:53, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- The techdecks bit was repeated, so I removed it, sorry about that haha. The link is http://www.techdeck.com. Don't you think there should be some sort of explination for the chicken? (Even though I'm not convinced that the uploader knew what he was doing nor understood the copyright policies) --Dan LeveilleTALK 20:57, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- You think the chicken is going to sue us? Benjiboi 00:41, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

- Great work. With a little more of that work, this could be applicable for GA.-h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 00:58, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Seconded. This article has made quite the improvement. Amazing job - props to you Benjiboi! Just a friendly suggestion - I think you should condense your edits into fewer, because the History log is completely full of edits, perhaps try grouping changes together so it keeps the history log efficient. --Dan LeveilleTALK 03:10, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, and actually it's a part of what could loosely be termed short-attention span. I need to catch mistakes and correct them quickly or I simply move onto something else that catches my eye. I'm quite a bad speller so it's a wonder the entire page isn't redlinked. Benjiboi 10:29, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possible source
