CyberSkull speaks the truth- Macosxlogo.png is not an actual logo, but rather an attempted user duplication. This icon seems to be genuine. --drumrollz@comcast.net 23:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, Finder icon.png is outdated, and the replacement is an accurate reproduction of the current one. CyberSkull, this image is not used by Mac anymore - Macosxlogo.png is. A support of this is that this image was originally uploaded in August '05, while MacOS 152mm 4c.png was uploaded March '06, extracted from a file from Mac. See [1]. You'll notice that the colors on Finder icon.png do not match the colors at the Apple website I referred you to, while Macosxlogo.png does match the colors. - I see this version in the Dock too. But that link I gave is telling me that it is going to change. And if Image:Macosxlogo.png isn't correct, than it is also free, not fair use? Althepal 04:29, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I've reverted to the 128x128 version. We don't need and "fair use" probably doesn't allow us to have a 512x512 version. AlistairMcMillan 07:20, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

- "Not smooth". Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think someone just took the icon from /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/Finder.icns, saved it as PNG and posted it here. AlistairMcMillan 18:53, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Shouldn't pictures not show such a hard boarder between pixels and pixel? I took the larger size from the history and downsized it. (I noticed that the color is slightly lighter than before I did this, but I don't think I changed anything about the color/brightness.) Althepal 18:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
