Finnvox Studios

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Finnvox Studios is a recording studio located in Helsinki, Finland. Founded in 1965, it was the first studio in Finland dedicated for music recording. Many metal bands have had albums mastered here (specifically by Mika Jussila), including Nightwish, Finntroll, HIM, Moonsorrow, Holy Knights, and Ram-Zet. Nightwish has also had albums recorded and engineered here.

Up until 1990s, Finnvox also operated a vinyl record mastering and pressing facility.

Currently, Finnvox has eight studio rooms, five of which are used for recording and mixing and three for mastering and editing.
