The Finnish Final was held at the Kaleva Centre in Tampere on January 26th, hosted by Maria Guzenina & Simo Frangén. In the first round 6 regional juries voted on the songs, and the top 6 were performed again before the winner was chosen by televoting.
Laura Voutilainen was born on May 17th, 1975 in Jyväskylä, Finland. After having had a long career already and a brief break in 2001, she is extremely popular in Finland and was an outright winner at the Euroviisut in January.
