Finbar Madden

Finbar Madden B.A., M.Sc., P.G.C.E., P.Q.H.(N.I.) born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is an Irish Historian who currently lives in County Londonderry. He has written several books including Teach Yourself the History of Ireland (2005, new edition 2007), the CCEA GCSE History textbook (2004, along with Jim McBride), currently used by a large number of schools across Northern Ireland as well as the revision version of the same book, History for CCEA GCSE Revision Guide (2007).
He currently teaches history and politics in St. Columb's College in Derry and is the Head of History there. He has a keen interest in history, politics and reading.
