"Finally Made Me Happy" is the first single from Macy Gray's fourth studio album, Big. It features additional vocals from Natalie Cole. It was made available on iTunes for the week of March 18 – March 24, 2007 and sold over 7,000 downloads. Gray performed the single on The Late Show with David Letterman on March 27 and on The View on March 28.
The single was released on 16 April in the UK. The video has so far been the number one most played video on television channel The Box[1] and has been added to the Capital FM and BBC Radio 2 radio playlists (it was playlisted on the C-list of the latter).[2] "Finally Made Me Happy" has also made the top twenty of the UK club charts, peaking at number eighteen.

[edit] Music video
The music video directed by Meiert Avis primarily featues Gray performing "Finally Made Me Happy" with her band, which features will.i.am on the piano. Towards the end of the song, Natalie Cole enters the video ad-libbing and singing joyfully with Gray. It is unknown if the video will receive a full release to music video stations such as MTV, because second single "Shoo Be Doo (No Words)" is slowly climbing the U.S. R&B charts.
The video is similar to the video for Prince's "When Doves Cry". Gray recreates the scenes with the bathtub and singing with the band. Natalie Cole comes down the spiral staircases in the same way Prince did in the "When Doves Cry" video.[4][5]
