[edit] Music video

The music video directed by Meiert Avis primarily featues Gray performing "Finally Made Me Happy" with her band, which features will.i.am on the piano. Towards the end of the song, Natalie Cole enters the video ad-libbing and singing joyfully with Gray. It is unknown if the video will receive a full release to music video stations such as MTV, because second single "Shoo Be Doo (No Words)" is slowly climbing the U.S. R&B charts.

The video is similar to the video for Prince's "When Doves Cry". Gray recreates the scenes with the bathtub and singing with the band. Natalie Cole comes down the spiral staircases in the same way Prince did in the "When Doves Cry" video.[4][5]
