Final Exit Network
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Final Exit Network is an American association which promotes access to assisted suicide and voluntary euthanasia, formed in response to changes at the Hemlock Society which resulted in the Hemlock Society changing its name to End-of-Life Choices and a merger with another group, Compassion in Dying, to become Compassion & Choices.
Its president is Ted Goodwin. Derek Humphry, founder of the Hemlock Society, is a member of the Final Exit Network's advisory board.
The Network has been implicated in the April 12, 2007, suicide of Jana Van Voorhis, a case that provoked considerable controversy in Phoenix, Arizona.
