Final Destination 4 is the upcoming installment to the Final Destination supernatural thriller, franchise. The film will be written and directed by Final Destination 2's Eric Bress and David R. Ellis, respectively, and will be shot in HD 3-D.[1] It currently has a tentative release date of early 2009.

The film, according to Bloody-Disgusting.com , will be a stand-alone movie and will feature a set of new characters. The story will revolve around Nick (Bobby Campo), a young teenager who has a vision of an accident that occurs at a race track. He warns his friends about his vision of the accident, and all of Nick's friends are saved from the falling objects from the accident. Now death will strike again and kill the people remaining untouched. Final Destination 4 will be released sometime in early 2009 [1]

Shooting of the film started early March in New Orleans and wrapped on May 31st. The shooting for the racetrack will be filmed at Mobile International Speedway in Irvington, AL. Craig Perry, the producer of the film, has said that the high-def 3-D technology they are using is the same technology James Cameron is using for Avatar.[1]
