FINA Youth World Swimming Championships

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FINA World Youth Swimming Championships is a swimming championship event for "youth" under the age of 18 years old. It is held biennially, in even years since 2006.

It should be noted that the term "youth" in the event's name is parallel to the use of the word in the newly created Youth Olympics, and not the pre-existing term used in the swimming community. "Junior" is the term within swimming that would be more accurate (14-18 year-olds), as "youth" (10-14) typically is falls under junior.
