[edit] Sports
There are men's and women's categories for sports. Unlike the World Aquatics Championships, this championship only contains swimming events, and the short course indicated is a 25 m long pool (instead of the 50 m used in the World Aquatics Championships). There are five different styles of individual competition: back stroke, breast stroke, butterfly, free style and medley (where the athletes swim each of the other four styles an equal distance).
- Individual events:
- 50 m (all styles except medley)
- 100 m (all styles)
- 200 m (all styles)
- 400 m (freestyle and medley)
- 800 m (freestyle, women only)
- 1500 m (freestyle, men only)
- Relays:
- 4 × 100 m (freestyle, medley)
- 4 × 200 m (freestyle)
