FINA Water Polo World Cup

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FINA Water Polo World Cup is a competition among the top nations in water polo, with men's and women's events held separately.

The men's event was established in 1979 and was held ever since every two years until 1999, and every four years since 2002. The women's event also started in 1979, with a more erratic schedule, sometimes annually, but with gaps of up to 4 years. It has also been a quadrennial tournament since 2002.
