[edit] WP:Films Welcome
Hey, welcome to the Films WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has a monthly newsletter. The newsletter for January has been published. February's issue is currently in production; it will be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
- Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Film Tasks template to see how you can help.
- Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!
- Want to collaborate on articles? The Cinema Collaboration of the Week picks an article every week to work on together.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 03:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infoboxes
At the film department Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Films based on books, it recommends that films and books be split. So if you want, you can create a new article for the film, but make sure it follows the Style guidelines and Naming conventions when naming the article. For right now, if you don't want to split the articles, consider just adding the infobox and then split it off later. Or, you can simply bypass the ones based on novels for now and just work on the strictly film articles. Whatever you want to do is fine, as long as you're helping to remove the backlog. Usually when splitting an article you have to add a split template at the top for discussion, but for the articles you seem to be describing, you're talking about small stub articles, so you should be able to split them if there is nobody objecting within a short period. Let me know if this answers your question. I'm going to be away from my computer for a couple hours, but I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can once I get back. Keep up the good work, we appreciate all of the help we get! --Nehrams2020 20:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spider-Man 3
I don't know if you're a fan of Spidey, but do you have advice for Spider-Man 3? I saw your critique for Grindhouse and was wondering if you could impart a critical eye for the superhero film's article as well. I don't intend a GA nomination just yet, but I'd like to make improvements in the meantime. —Erik (talk • contrib • review) - 23:04, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Branded to Kill
Thanks very much for your comments and fixes. I think I should be able to refine the synopsis somewhat, I'm sure there's some unnecessary detail that can be removed—and, really, the plot's the least relevant thing in the article. I appreciate your time and I'm glad you liked it. Cheerio, Doctor Sunshine talk 01:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] But I'm a Cheerleader peer review
Thanks for your comments on the peer review, very helpful. I've responded, and made some changes to the page. I'd be very grateful if you could have another look. Having put so much work into it, I'm finding it harder and harder to see if I'm making it better or worse, which is why it's great having someone else commenting on it. Thanks --Belovedfreak 12:45, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Preity Zinta FA
Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to. In my view it is better than some existing FA actor articles. I would therefore be very grateful if you could give it a final review in your own time and leave your comments and views at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Preity Zinta. Thankyou, your comments are always valuable. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 10:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
