[edit] Filthy Pedro- notable or not?
If WikiP asserts that 'antifolk' is notable, and the creator of US Antifolk Lach is notable, then surely the same should apply for the founder of antifolk UK, especially noting his TV appearances and in light of more coverage of the Antifolk scene in music magazines such as Plan B. - Filthy Pedro has most definitely 'become the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city' as it was he who started the whole antifolk scene in London. We're not judging Top 10 hits here, but contributions to a prominent, albeit underground, movement Musicfanman5 03:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
I definitely think deletion'd be inappropriate here. Filthy Pedro certainly fits the critiera of clause 7 of the "Notability" categories as he is the most prominent representative of the UK antifolk scene for the reasons Musicfanman5 states. Sure, antifolk is largely an underground movement but it (and indeed Filthy Pedro) has attracted attention of TV, radio and the print media, there's been an antifolk UK compilation released and Timeout called Antifolk one of "London's hottest subcultures" so it'd be entirely incorrect to classify Filthy Pedro as "not notable". Reading through the page, I myself believe there is sufficient information here to preclude speedy deletion. (Mrokapi 07:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC))
