Could somebody with some philological background elaborate on the filo- stem of the word? Thanks.Theharpguy 01:07, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

The last paragraph (as of 23rd August 2007) uses far too much technical jargon - to the point where even someone (such as myself) with a fair degree of background knowledge in the subject has difficulty understanding it. Can somebody who knows the terminolgy please clarify it to, say, New Scientist levels? Napalm Llama 11:03, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
