Talk:File descriptor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Who says "file handle" is preferred in the context of C stdio? In MS Windows maybe, but the C standard never mentions "handle" in the context of FILE objects. All references to handles outside the context of MS Windows should be corrected. FILE* is not a handle, it's a pointer to an object that controls a stream.
