Filzmoos is a town within the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the state of Salzburg, Austria. Its main income comes through tourism: Skiing in Winter and Hiking in Summer. It is at approximately 1km above sea level.

[edit] The Bischofsmütze (Bishop's Mitre) Mountain

Filzmoos resides below the Gosaukamm mountain range and the mountain nearest to it is called the Bischofsmütze. Literally translated it means Bishop's Mitre, it is named this due to the shape of its peak. The Bischofsmütze is a popular mountain for climbing. Another mountain near Filzmoos is the Dachstein.
