Filottrano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 25 km southwest of Ancona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,449 and an area of 70.2 km².[1]
The municipality of Filottrano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Montoro, Tornazzano, S. Biagio, S. Ignazio, and Bartoluccio.
Filottrano borders the following municipalities: Appignano, Cingoli, Jesi, Montefano, Osimo, Santa Maria Nuova.
