Film Threat is a magazine and a webzine about independent film, published and edited by Chris Gore.

The print version began in 1984 as a zine and evolved over the late 1980s into a more typical magazine format. It ceased print publication in 1997, but continues on the Internet. Eric Campos succeeded Chris Gore as the editor, and in October 2006 Mark Bell became the editor. The Film Threat writers include Steve Anderson, Rory L. Aronsky, Doug Brunell, Shane Burridge, Stina Chyn, Kevin Carr, Michael Ferraro, Sally Foster, David Grove, Zack Haddad, Phil Hall, Rick Kisonak, Jeremy Knox, Don Lewis, Heidi Martinuzzi, Jeremy Mathews, Mariko McDonald, Tim Merrill, Chris Parcellin, Amanda Reyes, Brad Slager, Matthew Sorrento, Chris Thilk, Felix Vasquez Jr., Pete Vonder Haar, Mike Watt, S. James Wegg, Ron Wells, Dan Wible, Rich Diamond and Chris Wiegand.

Film Threat releases an annual "Frigid 50" list of Hollywood's "coldest" celebrities (as opposed to many other publications' highlighting "hot" stars). It also has a branded DVD line that releases independent films and underground cinema.
