Fillabelly is a reference to the Fillabelly Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to raising money to feed the hungry in Southwest Florida. The primary source of fund raising was the Fillabelly Folk Festival [1] an annual event held under the stars at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club in Naples, Florida. Founded by Amy Wald and Dr. Robert Wald and Nina McDonnell and Attorney Michael McDonnell, the annual event headlined such notables as The Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul and Mary, John Denver, The Righteous Brothers, The Limelighters, Banks & Shane, The Smothers Brothers and Kenny Rogers. Loss of the hotel as a venue and a failure to market the Kenny Rogers concert through country radio outlets did the event and the foundation in.[2]
