Filippo Berio is the brand of a line of Extra Virgin Italian Olive Oils, Named after the 19th Century Founder of the same name who began producing olive oil in the Lucca province of Tuscany in the mid 1800s at the age of 21.[1]
The brand obtained particular notoriety in 2007 due to its catchy television advertising campaign involving Gioacchino Rossini's famous Largo al Factotum - Figaro's Aria - from The Barber of Seville, being sung with the words substituted for "Filippo Berio Filippo Berio Filippo Berio Filippo Berio Filippo Berio Filippo Berio Olive Oil".
