Filipe Alexandre Morais (born November 21, 1985 in Samora Correia, Benavente, Portugal[1]) is a Portuguese football midfielder currently playing for Hibernian. Morais, who is a Under-21 international, turned professional after signing for Chelsea in 2003[2].
Prior to the 2006/07 season, Morais joined Millwall on a free transfer. He joined Scottish club St. Johnstone on loan on January 19, 2007, until the end of the season.[3] He linked up with former Millwall teammate Derek McInnes, who joined the Perth club on January 1. Morais scored his only goal for St. Johnstone on February 17, 2007, in a 4-2 win over Hamilton Accies at McDiarmid Park.[4]
Morais was signed by Hibernian on July 28, 2007, after making his debut in the Edinburgh club's single-goal friendly victory over Middlesbrough.[5]
