Filemaker center
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FileMaker Center A/S is a medium size Danish software house specializing in system development – mainly for administration and information handling. The company was originally founded in 1992 by Carsten Levin, previously CFO of Unimac and before that editor of MacWorld Denmark (an IDG publication). A little later Bo Sigaard, also a veteran in the Danish IT world, joined and in 1999 they incorporated the company to FileMaker Center A/S.
At the Developer Conference in Orlando 2006 Bo Sigaard received the FileMaker Excellence Award on behalf of Carsten, and as it is mentioned in the explanation for the award: "This past year, Carsten has also been one of the three main architects behind the event - FileMaker Devcon Scandinavia 2006 - which was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, in March 2006". In 2007 FileMaker Center brought the FileMaker Devcon Scandinavia to Copenhagen where it will be held at the Danish Design Centre on October 4-6th.
FileMaker Center is also running the only free and open FileMaker database support forum in the Danish Language and it is widely used by Danes and Norwegians.
FileMaker Center was appointed to be a FileMaker Partner by FileMaker Inc. and is probably the FileMaker based company outside the USA having most certified developers. FileMaker Development in Denmark is taking on, and other Danish developers can be found on this list at FileMaker Denmark: www.filemaker.dk.
