FileMaker Inc. is a computer software company formed in 1998 from the vestiges of Claris as a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc. FileMaker develops, supports and markets FileMaker and Bento, two database programs, for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The company has been profitable for every quarter since its formation and currently employs 250 people in eight offices worldwide. [1]
