Fig Records is a record label founded in the summer of 2005 by Sara Saljoughi. Initially based in Montreal, it has been located in Toronto since September 2006. The first release on the label was an EP of folkish psychedelia by Toronto group The Saffron Sect, entitled "Phosphorous Flash".
Other releases include an album by The Silt as well as an upcoming compilation featuring recorded covers of 16th-20th century traditionals by artists such as Akron/Family, Castlemusic (with The Silt), Matt Valentine & Erika Elder, The Saffron Sect, Edgar Breau (of Simply Saucer), Simon Finn, Marissa Nadler, Dora Bleu with Helena Espvall (of Espers), and Matt Murphy.
