[edit] Belgium - Literature

Dear Fideel, Thank you for editing litterature in Belgium. However I am not sure your changes were good. I don't revert them back because I am not sure.

  • You have added only Dutch writers. You should keep in mind it is important to keep always a good balance between French and Dutch.
  • This info here should be a summary of what is in the Culture of Belgium article. Therefore I only put two authors in each poetry and prose one of both communities. The ones I thought were the most relevant. So please have a look at the main article and decide yourself whether the info you added is there or not and whether it must be included in the Belgium article.
  • The info about the Cannes festival is already in Culture of Belgium. If you add this someone will for sure add that Daens received the foreign film oscar award. That's why I didn't add this info originally. To keep only each culture item within one or two lines.

    • I do not agree. The wikipedia is not an outlet for national communitarian balance. There is no reason nor rule, why there should be exactly two poets from the flemish speaking part and two of the french speaking part. The idea seems ludicrous, in fact. A flemish speaking person will obviously know more about flemish or dutch-speaking poets then walloon or french ones; this is no reason to be 'political correct' in the typical Belgian way. The wikipedia is free for everyone; if people want to place Belgian french-speaking poets in there, they can do so.

[edit] Speedy deletion of AENEAS

A tag has been placed on AENEAS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
