Ficain

Ficain (or ficin) is an enzyme which is derived from figs latex. Is part of the Cysteine Endopeptidases, group that includes papain derived from Papaya latex, bromelase (bromelain) extracted from Pineapple stem, calpain, caspases, cathespisin B, chymopapain.
