The FIBA Oceania Championship for Women 2007 is the qualifying tournament of FIBA Oceania for the women's basketball tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing. The tournament, will be a three way contest between
It will be held in Dunedin, New Zealand from the 26th-29th of September.
Australia has already qualified for Beijing as winners of the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women.
The higher ranked team at the championship out of New Zealand and Fiji will contest direct entry to the 2008 Summer Olympics (Subject to approval from the nation's local Olympic committee).
The other will take part in the FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in June, 2008.
The Pacific Games basketball tournament will be held in Apia, Samoa from the 29th of August to the 7th of September.
The tournament will be played as a single round robin with the top two teams finishing on top of the ladder play-off to determine who will advance to the FIBA Oceania Championship in Dunedin, New Zealand
