Fiaraidh

Fiaraidh (OS; formerly anglicised as Fiaray) is one of the Outer Hebrides. It is 41 ha in size, and 30m at its highest point. It is relatively flat and featureless, and is used as a staging post by barnacle geese. The geology is Archaean gneiss. [1]

There are two lochans on the island, and it is surrounded by a large drying reef, which was said to be the abode of a fairy woman. [1]

Nearby Lingay is the subject of some folklore.
