Fiano (grape)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Fiano grape variety is a fairly strong flavoured wine grape native to the south of Italy, particularly in around Avellino in the Campania region, where Fiano di Avellino is a DOCG, and Sicily, and has been in cultivation for more than two thousand years[1].
The Grape is relatively low in yield[1].
Several Australian producers have begun to use the grape, but the number is still small, however, production seems to be increasing[2].
