According to American Nuclear Society's website there appears to be only one Wigner award they administer. That award is for reactor physicists, and was established in 1990. The 1987 entry in the list could therefore be a mistake. (Note that 1986 Wigner Medal is supported by the external link given under the Wigner medal article.)
