User talk:Ferrett3

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hey and welcome! I noticed your request for adminship. I just wanted to let you know before you get disappointed, your request will probably be removed :( That's because adminship is somewhat restricted; most users expect you to have thousands of edits and many months of working on the project before supporting a RfA. I hate to be a jerk, but I'd suggest taking it down before someone else does. I looked at your contributions and you're doing a fine job. I have no doubt that you mean only the best for Wikipedia, but most users are not trusting enough of newish users to give them the admin tools, because they could be harmful in the wrong hands (you can see WP:GRFA for more info}. I'd suggest keeping up the good work for six months or so and trying again then. I'm sure you'll be a great admin in time! I'm certainly willing to discuss this more, drop me a note on my talk page if you have any questions or want to discuss anything. Peace, delldot | talk 03:26, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

  • As delldot notes above, your RfA has been removed. I've closed it because with less than 50 edits, the chance that your RfA will succeed is nil. Please note that during 2006, there were nearly 200 RfAs done with candidates having less than 1,000 edits. Not one of them passed. The closing of this RfA as failed is not a reflection on you. Please keep up your fine work and take up delldot's suggestions for reading WP:GRFA and hanging around for some months before trying for adminship again. If there's any way in which I can help, please do not hesitate to ask. All the best, --Durin 03:44, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
